Full Moon in Virgo x Saturn in Pisces. 3.8.23.

Happy Full Moon in Virgo, beautiful souls!

I hope you’re all taking good care of yourselves and getting some rest in amidst what has been quite a week-plus of astrology, particularly with the wounded healer Chiron featuring prominently last week into this week—since his jam is bringing wounds to the surface and reminding us where we have opportunities for healing (while possibly also bringing new healers and/or new sources of healing into our lives; that’s definitely a big part of how this astrology has been showing up for me anyway).

And speaking of Chiron, which in addition to wounding, healing, and healers also rules both astrology and tarot (aka “chiromancy")—and the sign of Virgo—this week’s Full Moon energy invites us to witness our own healing and the ways in which we have been stepping up as healers, whether of ourselves, those in our lives, or the collective (and, in Practical Woo fashion, to put Chiron’s own tools of astrology and tarot to use to support us in doing that witnessing).

Meanwhile, with Virgo associated with work and service, in addition to healing and perfecting, some of the healing we are invited to witness now may involve our work; how we work; and how are we learning to be of service to others and to ourselves so that we do not become martyrs to our work—nor to toxic perfectionism, another Virgo trait. This is a set of Virgoan questions I’ve been spending a lot of time thinking about in my own life lately, particularly with burnout particularly widespread in many of my own professional circles right now, and amidst an ongoing paradigm shift in how many of us approach work, as we mark four years since the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Saturn moves into Pisces.

Yesterday’s Full Moon in Virgo energy is also deeply enmeshed with another major piece of astrology this week: Saturn entering the sign of Pisces (which happened just about an hour after the Full Moon). As one of the slower moving planets, Saturn changing signs is a big deal. This is because, unlike the Moon, Sun, Mercury, Mars, or Venus, the quicker moving, so-called “personal” planets, Saturn changes signs only every two to two-and-a-half years. When it does, it’s a shift we as a collective feel, marking the ending of one cycle and the beginning of the next. A musical analogy might be a key change in a song. (For timing context: Saturn entered Aquarius in 2020.)

So, while Full Moons are usually a time for marking progress and reaping the harvest of the intentions we seeded six months prior (at the New Moon in that same zodiac sign), this week’s Full Moon isn’t just any old Full Moon. It’s both a moment for marking progress and growth and a powerful portal for setting intentions and goals for what we want to manifest, looking ahead to the upcoming Saturn in Pisces stretch (which spans roughly 2023-2026). This is only amplified by Virgo’s practical, earthy, hands-on, get-it-done energy.

With manifestation-master Saturn stepping into dreamy, mystical Pisces—in addition to taking stock of our healing, and especially healing as it relates to work—I’m feeling called to work with this Full Moon as an invitation to plant seeds when it comes to the dreams we want to manifest in the next few years; the boundaries in our lives we’re ready to reexamine and restructure; the limiting beliefs and artificial splits within ourselves that we are ready to dissolve; and the illusion of separateness that keeps us believing we are an island disconnected from the larger interconnected whole of which we are all part. (Saturn in Pisces reading rec: Ken Wilber’s No Boundary.)

To that end. . . here, with love, I am sharing my thoughts on how to work with this Full Moon in Virgo x Saturn into Pisces energy at its highest vibration—and the 9-card tarot spread (yes, 9!) I was inspired to craft this week to work with the energy for reflection and intention-setting.

I hope you find this helpful, and as with all horoscopes, take what resonates and leave the rest!

XOXO,

Rebecca

Full Moon in Gemini x Saturn in Pisces tarot spread.

Here are the prompts for the 9-card tarot spread I crafted to work with the highest vibrations of this week’s Full Moon in Virgo x Saturn in Pisces energy in case you feel called to see where they take you as well.

Yep, you read that right—this spread calls for 9 cards instead of 6, both because of how much is going on with the energy of this Full Moon x Saturn ingress into Pisces, and in honor of The Hermit, the 9th card of the tarot, which is associated with Virgo and occupies a large portion of my left forearm as my very favorite tattoo. (You can lay out a 9-card spread in three rows of threes, or however feels right to you.)

As always, feel free to use any/all of these as journal prompts and to skip the cards. Likewise some of these may speak to you more than others; that’s a-ok too—work with what resonates.

  1. How have I been realizing my power as a healer over the past 6 months? How have I been stepping up as a healer for myself, for others, and/or for the collective?

  2. What have I been learning is in need of healing when it comes to my work and how I work?

  3. How have I been learning to balance being in service to others and to myself so that I don’t cross over into martyrdom, and/or toxic perfectionism?

  4. What dreams am I ready to make into reality with respect to my work, my healing, and/or my role(s) as a healer of myself/others/ the collective over the next two-and-a-half-years?

  5. What intentions do I want to set for that period when it comes to dissolving limiting beliefs and other self-imposed constraints I’ve been holding onto?

  6. What practices am I ready to commit to, to integrate and transcend any perceived boundaries I hold amongst my body, mind, and spirit? What intentions do I want to set now towards wholeness?

  7. Where am I being invited to attune to, and to rise with, the frequency of group/community/”we” consciousness, vs. individual “I” consciousness?

  8. What outmoded or growth-inhibiting structures in my life are ready to be restructured or dissolved?

  9. What intentions do I want to set now about how I want to show up in my work, work projects, or in service to the larger interconnected whole of which I am part, in the coming months?

Much love to you all in this beautiful Virgo Full Moon week, and feel free to holler with any questions this sparks for you!

P.S. For folks who like to plan ahead: Saturn making moves into Pisces is far from the last of the major astrology we’ll see in March 2023. Pluto, which governs power and transformation, among other things, changes signs and steps into Aquarius later this month after moving slowly through the sign of Capricorn since 2008. As the slowest moving planet in the solar system, Pluto shifts are associated with major shifts for the collective, so this is something we can all expect to feel. More on this to come in the New Moon in Aries edition of this newsletter on March 21 (and I may write a full blog on this at some point this month). But FYI for now.
