Happy Full Moon in Aries, beautiful souls!
I hope you’re all taking care good care of yourselves and getting lots of rest in a supercharged, high energy, Full Moon week. 🌝
And Ciao from Florence! I’ve been honored to get to spend this Aries Full Moon at an *extremely* cool psychosynthesis symposium at Casa Assagioli in Florence (the home of the late founder of psychosynthesis, Roberto Assagioli, which now houses his incredible archives) with Mark Jones and Keith Hackwood (two mentors who’ve been instrumental in my own development as an astrologer and alchemist). So this has been an exceptionally special Full Moon week for me. ✨
In addition to a fiery Aries Full Moon, this week also brought the autumn Equinox, as the Sun moved into Libra on September 21st, marking the official start of fall—as well as a seasonal shift that is also an energetic turning point in the year. From here, the hours of dark will begin to overtake the hours of light. It’s the time to harvest all that has grown from the seeds we planted in the spring. And in a few weeks, we welcome in not just Halloween but the season of Samhain (more on that later; I love love love this extra-witchy time of year.) 🧙 🪄
Yesterday at around 5am ET (and noon here in Italy), we marked a Full Moon at 6 degrees of Aries. The sign of the ram, and the first of the 12 signs of the zodiac, Aries is all about new beginnings. Physically, it rules the head. At its highest vibration, it’s bold, fiery, courageous, pioneering, leadership, warrior of the light energy—unafraid to speak its truth, lead the way, spark the new thing, take up space, assert itself, and fiercely hold its boundaries. At lower vibration levels, it can be speak-before-you-think, ready-fire-aim, self-centered, impatient, quick to anger, conflict-creating, uncontrolled fire energy. Aries has a fierce independent streak that can be great for self-reliance—and which can also show up as trying to do it all solo, always having to be in charge, and trouble working and collaborating with others. It’s associated with the archetypes of The Pioneer, The Leader, The Warrior, among others. 🐏
Both the Aries New Moon back in March 2023 and this Aries Full Moon six months later were closely aligned with Chiron, the wounded healer—so I read this Full Moon as inviting us to reflect on what’s coming to fruition now that we were starting then when it comes to our own healing; what we’ve been learning about the power of mind in healing; what we’ve been learning about the connection between asserting ourselves and our boundaries and needs and our health and healing; and how we are showing up as leaders when it comes to healing ourselves, others, and/or the collective. ♈️
*Cheat sheet: Here’s what I wrote back when we were setting intentions back at the New Moon in Aries in late March—take a look back at that to refresh your recollection of the seeds you were planting 6 months ago, which is what Luna in her fullness this week is encouraging us to reflect back on now.
Sending you all good wishes and many blessings in this Full Moon week, and without further ado, scroll on down for the 6-card tarot spread/journal prompts I crafted to work with the Full Moon in Aries energy at its highest vibration. 🔥
XOXO,
Rebecca

How do I work with a Full Moon?
In astrology, Full Moons are the time for reflecting on and marking your growth in a particular area of life during the past six months. Just as New Moons are the time to set intentions, Full Moons are the time of harvest when we reap the seeds/intentions sown at the last New Moon in that zodiac sign. This makes Full Moons a great check-in moment for pausing, getting still (even briefly!), and assessing how far we've come (and how much further we might still have to go) in a particular area of life. So: the intentions we set back in late-March 2023 at the New Moon in Aries are what we're reflecting back on with this Full Moon.

What have I been learning about the importance of self-care and the self-care practices that enable me to show up as a leader and/or healer for others/the collective?
