Full Moon in Aquarius. 8.1.23.
Happy Full Moon in Aquarius, beautiful souls!
I hope you’re all taking care good care of yourselves and getting lots of rest in this summer Full Moon week. Let’s get into some of what this particular Full Moon is spotlighting and how to work with the energy.
Today at 2:31pm ET, we will mark a Full Moon at 9 degrees of Aquarius. The sign of the water-bearer, Aquarius is connected with the 11th house of hopes and dreams, our networks and tribes, and the gifts we’re here to share with the collective. It’s associated with the archetypes of The Innovator, The Creative Genius, and The Eccentric, among others.
When we were setting intentions back at the New Moon in Aquarius in late January, I encouraged us all to reflect on what it would look like to own our own transformative power by embracing what makes us different.
Now the Aquarian Full Moon six months later invites us to reflect on what’s coming to fruition in our lives now as a result—and especially the ways in which we’re able to serve the collective good by leaning into our unique gifts vs. shrinking away from our inner creative genius for fear of being labeled different or “weird.” How have we been learning we’re able to make the world a better place when we embrace and embody our unique archetype and let our freak flag fly? And how have we been learning to love our differences as a source of power and magic?
At a more esoteric level, Aquarius is also associated with collective consciousness (its symbol, the water-bearer, depicts a human carrying and pouring a vessel of water, with water representing the consciousness we are all vessels for). In mindfulness terms, Aquarian consciousness is like going into “observer” mode. Aquarius invites us to rise above I/ego as our center of awareness so that we may observe ourselves and see the bigger picture, without the coloring of ego concerns.
At its highest vibration, this leads to a form of self-organization called synarchy—which is the way insect kingdoms such as ants and bees organize themselves, wherein no member of the kingdom is more valuable or powerful than any other member and everyone serves the good of the collective, like cells in a larger organism. So this Full Moon in Aquarius is also speaking to me as an invitation to mark how we’ve been learning to detach, get into observer mode, and understand ourselves as cells in that larger organism of humanity, each of us with our own role to play in service of the larger collective good.
I’m sending you all good wishes and many blessings in this Full Moon week, and without further ado, scroll on down for the 6-card tarot spread/journal prompts I crafted to work with the Full Moon in Aquarius energy at its highest vibration.
XOXO,
Rebecca

How do I work with a Full Moon?
In astrology, Full Moons are the time for reflecting on and marking your growth in a particular area of life during the past six months. Just as New Moons are the time to set intentions, Full Moons are the time of harvest when we reap the seeds/intentions sown at the last New Moon in that zodiac sign. This makes Full Moons a great check-in moment for pausing, getting still (even briefly!), and assessing how far we've come (and how much further we might still have to go) in a particular area of life. So: the intentions we set back in January 2023 at the New Moon in Aquarius are what we're reflecting back on with this Full Moon.

How have I been learning to love my differences as a source of power and magic since January?
What is coming to light now about my inner creative genius?
How have I been embracing my differences as unique gifts I’m here to share?
How have I been learning I’m able to make the world a better place when I let my freak flag fly without holding back for fear of being “weird” or different?
What have I been learning about the power of getting into observer mode, to detach from I/ego and see the bigger picture?
What is being spotlighted now about my unique power to bring transformative change to my communities and the larger collective?
Full Moon, new website!
Aquarius being associated with astrology itself, part of what I’m extra excited to mark with this Full Moon is. . . . . . . . . **drumroll please** . . . . . . . . . . . a new website for Alchemy of the Zodiac! <3 <3 <3
I’ve been using a little calendar tool for scheduling readings ever since I started to sit with clients in 2021—but, in keeping with the Aquarian themes in this newsletter, part of how I’m marking this Full Moon is by owning that being an astrologer is part of my unique archetype and how I serve the larger collective, vs just another hobby.
So, this Aquarian Full Moon felt like the perfect time to launch a real site that aligns with my unique approach to astrology. You can check it out here — and I’d love to hear what you think <3
Much love to you all in this Full Moon in Aquarius week, and feel free to holler with any questions this sparks for you!
